  • Teach full time, 24-30 credits during the academic year.
  • Primary responsibilities include teaching CIS 101, 150, 231, 233, 238, 333 and other courses as appropriate.
  • Developed CIS238 Internet Media & Programming course from scratch following the 43 standards in the Quality Matters rubric. The course was selected twice (each online and face-to-face) for the Exemplary Course Award.  
  • Wrote the CIS238 2015 and 2016 FCAR (Faculty Course Assessment Report. 9-pages), including 3 proposed improvements.
  • Created and maintain the CIS 150 Collaboration site in Blackboard for faculty to easily and conveniently share course content and ideas. Included are video, written tutorials, articles, interactive and engaging activities, student commonly asked questions, resources for the website project, how to adjust grading schema information, and nine Blackboard text assignment rubrics. I created the text assignment rubrics to help ensure fair, consistent, and more efficient grading.
  • Created and maintain student CIS150 mobile friendly, responsive website that includes optional resources for students to take their knowledge further, along with tips, tricks and related homework help.

  • Taught thirteen different courses in the past seven years including Web Design and Graphics Development (see examples of student projects created during recent classes).
  • Developed Photoshop on-ground and Advanced Photoshop online courses; both were selected as winners for the Exemplary Course Award. The on-ground course was also selected as Blackboard's Directors' Choice for Courses with Distinction.
  • Demonstrated a commitment to lifelong learning and continuous improvement; participated in sixteen professional development sessions in 2013 alone (includes sessions at three colleges).
  • Created a Mobile App with HTML5 as part of professional development.
  • Developed and presented multiple Universal Design for Learning / Accessibility faculty sessions and YouTube videos to share what I have learned related to creating course materials for students with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of abilities.
  • Assisted with creation of the accessible college syllabus template.
  • Created SARP and brochure (pdf 1.5MB) as part of the Web Design POS to improve and document the Web Design curriculum.
  • Created print and Web graphics to promote CIS programs and for other various projects.
  • Implemented client-side JavaScript libraries (jQuery and Modernizr) to make Web sites more dynamic and make use of HTML5 and CSS3 features.
  • Created series of nine written and video closed captioned tutorials for how to create a Photoshop Web page mock up and optimize graphics.
  • Participated in the review of the Blackboard 9.1 upgrade during summers of 2012 and 2013.
  • Collaborated with professors to develop course content to meet learning outcomes, assessment, and instructional strategies as outlined in Course Approved Revision Process (CARP).
  • Held (and currently hold) synchronous virtual office hours using Blackboard Instant Messaging, Blackboard Collaborate (Winter 2012), and Google Hangouts and asynchronous Discussion forums to assist students outside of the classroom.
  • Created a Web Design Facebook page, Behance, Celly, Google Hangouts and Photoshop Twitter accounts to engage students, provide information and help promote CIS programs.
  • Employed a variety of teaching methods for the many learning styles and diverse student population.
  • Obtained positive peer and student evaluations.
  • Created Camtasia video tutorials to help meet student learning outcomes.
  • Developed and presented three customized Photoshop training sessions for GRCC's Mechanical and Architectural Design group.

  • Served on review team to select the winner for the 2014 Excellence in Education Award for Teaching.
  • Provided technical assistance to faculty colleagues, primarily in the area of instructional technologies.
  • Developed and facilitated learning opportunities focused on teaching with technology offered through CTE; including session for faculty Online Course Observation , Bb Exemplary Course and Quality Matters session, and multiple UDL / Accessibility sessions.
  • Developed closed captioned YouTube video tutorials for Universal Design for Learning / Accessibility, some of which are being used to train faculty to build Quality Matters Master Courses.
  • Lead and co-lead sessions for the Summer Teaching Institute.
  • Developed and facilitated online courses and modules around various aspects of teaching.
  • Developed content such as tip sheets, tutorials and guides for the DLIT resource library.
  • Responded to questions related to teaching and technology.
